Chinwendu Achonu - Stylist
Hi! My name is Chinwendu. Originally from Raleigh, NC. In 2022, I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise Science and Sport Science and a minor in Food Studies. After interning in those fields, I knew that I wanted to pursue a more creative career. I have always been interested in hair. I loved experimenting with protective styles for natural hair, but really fell in love after witnessing the results of the curly hair no butter, oils, creams movement and the versatility of the “wash n go”. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, sewing, and thrifting!
Chinwendu has recevied specialized training from Cut it Kinky, LaQuita Burnett, Rebekah Murphy, Sonnie Carolina, Alayah Shabazz, Kenny Barbeiro, & DeAnna Lloyd to name a few.
Angie Whitmire - Stylist
My name is Angie and I have been doing hair for 6 years! Hair is my calling, I have been practicing doing hair for most of my life. I knew when I grew up I wanted a career that would make the world a better place and one I would be proud of. Hospitality and caregiving have always been a natural skill of mine and I love all things beauty related. It started out as a hobby and turned into a beautiful career!
My mom is one of my biggest inspirations because she has gorgeous ginger curly hair that I’ve always admired. I remember her always complaining about the way salons cut her hair because they would straighten it and thin it out when she wanted the opposite. So, knowing I wanted to do hair she started to let me cut her hair when I was a little girl since she did not like going to the salon. And from then on I fell in love with doing curly hair! The bigger the hair, the better! I love classic looks like a big round curly cut, tight pixies, blonde highlights, finger waves, platinum, ginger, the list goes on!
I am rezo level 1 certified. I’ve taken many classes such as ouidad, silk press, natural hair care, influance, keratin complex, etc! My goal in this industry is to bring out your natural beauty, make you fall in love with your curls, give you confidence to be yourself and let your hair flourish! Healthy hair is my number one priority!
My birthday is August 19th and I am a Leo (lions are my favorite animal). Outside of the salon I’m usually shopping, taking my 2 dogs on a walk either at a nearby lake or park, hanging out with friends, listening to music, trying new foods, and just having a good time outside somewhere! My coffee shop order lately has been a matcha latte with lavender and honey (I need my drinks extra sweet)!

Juana is so excited to join the Geometry team! Originally from Cleveland, Ohio but recently relocated to North Carolina with husband and daughter. Juana graduated from The University of Toledo with a focus in business management and accounting. She eventually realized corporate america was not the end all be all, and decided to shift gears. Taking on her own naturally curly hair journey, which at the time seemed like a hobby, quickly turned into a full time career. Not being able to find the stylist she wanted at the time turned into becoming the curl specialist she needed.
While Juana has been a solo entrepreneur for the past 4 years, she's excited to join a team with like minded individuals. She's ready to continue to grow and build a community with the Geometry team, and all her new clients. Juana has gained education from Innersense Organic Beauty as an educator, Cut it Kinky and Rezo Academy level 1. There are many more classes she is ready to take on and continue her education.

Kenny Barbeiro - Guest Artist | Educator | Master Barber
I’m Kennedy, a 24-year-old barber from São Matheus, São Paulo, proud of my Afro heritage. I started cutting hair at 13, learning from my father, and at 17, I joined a Senegalese-founded salon in downtown São Paulo, specializing in Afro cuts for a predominantly Afro clientele.
Despite a humble background, my parents’ hard work inspired me. I briefly studied Aircraft Maintenance and Aerospace Engineering but prioritized supporting my family through barbering.
As my work gained traction in the U.S. and Brazil by 2020, I transitioned to a vibrant barbershop where I taught my technique. Over three years, I trained many barbers, promoting appreciation for Afro hair. In 2022, I moved to a hairdressing salon to create a welcoming space for female clients. I continue to teach and innovate, proud of my legacy in the Afro barbering community.
I believe dedication leads to success.
